We are a local & family run business here in Bakersfield, California. Our founder, Jim "Mr. Fix-It" Witmyer, has been providing the Kern & Fresno counties with excellent customer service and professionalism since 1983.
Jim has also been doing repairs and maintenance for over 25 years. Because of demand, in 2008, he decided to go full-time performing handyman repairs for residential & commercial clients. As a result, Mr. Fix-It was founded. Due to Jim's honesty, reliability, and work ethic, we now have grown to 8 employees in order to provide thousands of satisfied clients with top quality service.
What makes us different is that we care about you, the client, first and foremost. And we believe the best way to do that is not to be a typical general contractor who sub-contracts out all the work. We have our own in-house team of technicians who complete your project. Not only that, but we strive to go above and beyond to meet your needs.
Lastly, our owner & many of our employees are Christians. We believe that part of following Christ is to conduct our business with care, integrity, and character. We strive to practice these principles in our lives and our work.

We desire to be a company of our word and to never mislead anyone. Additionally we will own up to any mistakes we make and take responsibility for our actions. We are so intentional about this that we have accountability systems in place to create an environment of integrity.

We want to have the proper balance of being professional (orderly, detailed, clean) but still have the personal touch (relational, care, thoughtful). Impersonal bureaucracy or corporate politics have no place in our company and will not keep us from being personable to everyone around us.

Most people wouldn't think that a handyman company could be "creative" or "passionate". Well, we want to be different. We are passionate about our work and the accomplishment of it. We also want to express our God-given creativity by providing innovative solutions.
5. EFFICIENCY & QUALITY
Everyday we work, we desire to bring the highest quality possible to our projects. However, we also seek to be as efficient as possible, in order to keep costs down for the clients. We want to be resourceful and plan ahead to save time & money without sacrificing quality.
6. AVAILABILITY & Reliability
We don't want to limit our clients or their schedules. Our goal is to be able to schedule their project as conveniently and timely as possible. We also want to show up when we say we will and properly communicate with our clients if the plan ever changes.
